We are excited to host the inaugural Disc Golf NL Tour, a series of C-tier PDGA-sanctioned disc golf tournaments held in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2025.
There will be four main events and the DGNL Provincial Championships run in collaboration with local affiliated clubs:
1. The Battle of the Bay - Stephenville - Stephenville DGC and Whaleback DGC - June 21 - 1 day, 2 rounds
2. The Runway Rumble - Gander - Gander Nordic DGC - July 12 - 1 day, 2 rounds
3. The Rip on the Rock - St. John’s - McNiven DiscGolfPark - August 16-17 - 2 days, 3 rounds
4. Disc Golf Dogfit - Happy Valley-Goose Bay - 5 Wing Disc Golf - August 31 - 1 day, 2 rounds
5. Disc Golf NL Provincial Championships - Corner Brook - Tentatively September 27-28 - 2 days, 3 rounds
You can play as few or as many events as you’d like, and you will register for each event individually on DiscGolfScene.com.
DGNL members (which includes members of affiliated clubs) will earn and accumulate points for overall season awards. We will use the same point structure as PDGA points, which are based on a player’s rank and the number of players within a division (
https://www.pdga.com/points). You do not need to be a member of DGNL or the PDGA to attend an event. A player’s season total will include the sum of their two best main events plus their points for the provincial championships. Points are awarded within each division and cannot be carried over to another division. For first place in each division, the first tiebreaker will be finishing place at Provincials, then average finish at all events, then a CTP competition at Provincials.
The following divisions will be offered at all events and are eligible for overall season awards: MPO/FPO, MA1/FA1, MA40/FA40, MA2/FA2, MJ18/FJ18, and MJ15/FJ15 (events may offer additional divisions). The organizers reserve the right to award overall season trophies only to divisions with at least one player that plays at least two events.
A series fee of $5 per player will be included in the registration for each event, which will go toward a series player pack item.
Additional events may be added, but the “two best main events + Provincials” point structure will be maintained.
