My name is TJ Baxter I am a resident of North Bonneville Washington. I am working on a persuasive speech to present to the North Bonneville City Council on allowing the use of golf carts on the disc golf course. Let me start by saying that all of us will be seniors one day or develop a disability that may limit the amount that we can walk. This ordinance would permit the use of a golf cart after purchasing a annual permit from the city and signing a waiver releasing all risk from the city.
I would appreciate feed back on this and support from the disc golf community to help North Bonneville set a standard for elderly and disabled access to our wonderful sport of disc golf. If any of you frequent the PDGA website you are aware that they have established a Senior Committee to help spread the word of disc golf to the elderly community and bring more people into our sport.
