Hole 1 · Alcyon Woods, Short Tees
Gateway Element
Brought my son for a quick stop to show him Alcyon Woods. He doesn't play disc golf so I gave him a Glitch. I took my Diamond Glo Element. We played Hole 1. After the hole, we decided to play it one more time before leaving. I told him when I stepped on the tee pad that my shot was going to be an ace. It left my hand on a backhand throw smooth and pure, headed toward the tree on the right side up the fairway. The disc had a chance all the way. It rode high and dipped left just before the tree and splashed middle chains.
First time I got an ace in practice.

Hole 9 · Alcyon Woods, Short Tees
Innova Star Mako3
I knew it had a chance before I threw it. The conditions were perfect. Slight breeze moving from left to right. Throwing right hand backhand I rode the breeze on a slight flip to the right of the basket, a few feet higher than the basket, then it flattened out and stabled up enough in time to bury middle chains. Not too exciting because it had a chance all the way. But I was excited and psyched to finally get a second ace!! Boom

Hole 3 · Short tees 18 baskets Par 61
Innova Star Mako3
My first ever PDGA tournament was King of the Woods, at my home course, Stafford Woods. The tournament format was four rounds in one day. The third round was played from the short tees. The basket for the 3rd hole was moved up to the top of the hill, just over the water. The basket was right near where I normally aim to get over the hill to the usual basket location. When I let the disc go, I knew it had a chance. Halfway over the water it looked like it was gonna go in, and it did. Nothing but chains. I didn't freak out; it was going all the way. No surprise.
