It looks like I may have incorrectly interpreted the refund policy. I just talked with the PDGA and if someone is on the waitlist you should get back your entry - $10. If I did your refund incorrectly, please email me at [email redacted] and I'll make it right.
All this being said ... if you are someone that just signed up for a tournament and didn't intend on playing, or just might play and waited until 2 weeks before the event to really make up your mind ... you suck. There are lots of people that didn't sign up because you had a spot and they didn't get on a waitlist cause who wants to drop cash to be a on waitlist for a tournament they might not play. Also as a volunteer TD all this churn of players dropping is a huge time suck.
