Let’s get under way!

Good day disc golfers,

The new disc chucking season is upon us and it looks to be a good one. Sun has been shining and the ringing of the chains is echoing in all our heads.
We had a great turnout last night for the open house. The VFW staff was awesome and provided many a drink/food. Thanks for supporting them. They were happy to have us.

This Tuesday April 6th is the start. We are opening the start time to 2pm and last tee will be 6pm. We have more members this year than ever before so we are encouraging an early start if you can.

Remember you must play with 4 people and 2 must be members. Keeping up speed of play is VERY important this year.

Udisc is how we are keeping score. BEFORE you go to the park, start your app, find the league day, and check yourself in. One person will keep the scores on the app. WiFi is very spotty out there so please do your checkin/start card before you arrive. It will go more smoothly that way. When finished, finalize score. If you didn’t use app, picture of paper scorecard will need to be submitted to [email redacted] within 2 hours of finishing your round. 5 points and 2 strokes per person will be docked if not submitted in time.

Please do this before coming to the course.
To get into our league in udisc, follow these
In UDisc, click on more,
then find UDisc Leagues,
then search for Shore Acres,
then scroll down and click on "Join League" button.

For Scoring on League Day
Open Udisc
Click events at bottom center
Click Shore Acres League appropriate day
Click CHECK IN. (Stop here unless you’re the one keeping the scorecard)
Scorekeeper will continue
Click CREATE SCORECARD
Click on players that will be on your card
Click CONFIRM PLAYERS
Click CREATE SCORECARD
Enter scores for each player on the hole
Swipe left to go to next hole, repeat
When finished, click FINISH ROUND
REVIEW if necessary
FINALIZE (you MUST do this last step or your score won’t count)

Also if you haven’t received your player pack, we will have these available on site the first few weeks of league.

Handicaps will reset this season. The first 2 weeks will establish your handicap. They are calculated differently this year. If interested in the math, ask Jason Butch.

CTP/LP prizes will begin on week 3 as will the Points and Scoring races.

The rules are on the discgolfscene league page, please follow them. If you are on Facebook, you can join 2021 SADGC LEAGUE AND EVENTS page. We update the league quite a bit on there too. We highly recommend you use this page and put on notifications for it.

A ranger will almost always be at hole 1 for your start. Please checkin with them. Ask questions here as well. Prizes from previous weeks will be available here too.
