Good evening everyone! Happy SPRING THING-EVE!
I hope you are all excited for tomorrow’s tournament! We will have a great day out at Indian Oaks in Marengo together! Here are some useful informative pieces for you going into tomorrow.
Tee times are posted at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/49419 and will not change! Please arrive at Tournament Central no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled tee time. If you are not present at Tournament Central 10 minutes before your tee time, you will be at risk of losing your spot. Waitlist players will be there waiting to take any vacant spots from no-shows. DO NOT BE LATE!
Both rounds of the tournament will start on HOLE 2. PLEASE utilize the parking lots near the soccer fields/baseball fields and near the Park district building. If you choose to park near Hole 1, YOU ARE DOING SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. Errant shots from hole 14 and hole 20 have a good chance and finding that small parking strip.
YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE WITH THE SAME GROUP FOR ROUND 2. This is to accomplish a couple of things - minimal contact with multiple people & an equal amount of time for every player between rounds. A couple of changes/moves may be made but not likely.
There are at least 2 portable restrooms on site. There is ample park space for warming up before your round.
PDGA LIVE SCORING WILL BE UTILIZED! This is a life saver for both you and me. Go to PDGA.com/score & Enter the access code for the day, "Spring" and you will then sign-in with your name or PDGA #. This is the official scorecard. I will have paper copies as well for a backup scorecard. 2 scorecards must be kept for each group. If there are any questions when getting setup, whomever is at Tournament Central will be happy to help. *****DO NOT FORGET TO CONFIRM THE SCORES (Enter each players PDGA # or Last name) at the end of the round for the scores to be submitted!!!!!!
AMATEUR PLAYER PACKS will be picked up at the end of your first round. The whole card will come to tournament central upon the conclusion of round 1 to pick up their players pack. PAYOUTS & AWARDS will be distributed no more than 15 minutes after the last card for that division is in.
DELLWOOD DISC GOLF will be on-site with their mobile shop! Browse discs and see what other goodies they have. Payouts will be through Dellwood and are good up until 6 months after the event date, so just about through the end of September. You do NOT have to redeem your entire payout tomorrow!
We will be playing 2 rounds on the CLASSIC 20 HOLE LAYOUT! The only difference between rounds will be the use of the short tee on Hole 8 for round 1, and the long tee for round 2. An OB & information sheet will be distributed to each group tomorrow before teeing off for round 1. This sheet has all course rules, CTPS for each division & other miscellaneous info.
ALL CTPS will be out for ROUND 1 ONLY. There will be divisional CTPs for discs that you do not have to be paid in for. The divisional cash CTPs DO have to be paid in for. There is a $50 Cash CTP for EVERYONE that will be on Hole 12 (Kraken Hole) thanks to Castle Chiropractic and 2 discs CTPs for EVERYONE (Holes 17 & 20) thanks to Trevor Scott!
Thanks to everyone who helped prep the course this week by picking up trash, branches/sticks, laying flags & rope etc. Course is looking great and ready for all of you! If you are feeling sick at all, please stay home and send me a PM before your tee time. Otherwise, I cannot wait to see you all tomorrow!
