It’s officially JJO Eve! Thanks to everyone for the massive amount of support as always! I’m going to quit blowing your phone up soon so I’ll keep this brief, but wanted to send some reminders out for tomorrow:
Most of you have seen the DCSP course, but for those who haven’t, once you enter the park you will continue straight for 2 miles. Tournament Central/parking will be in the parking lot across from the restaurant.
Check-in is from 7:00-8:15 and we will tee off promptly at 8:30AM! Please be on time and watch your speed as you’re coming to the park! At check-in you will have an opportunity to buy in to the event ace-pot if you haven’t done so, buy raffle tickets (we’ve got some sweet prizes!), and AM’s will receive their players pack disc. Once you’re done checking in you’re expected to be at your starting hole and ready to tee-off at 8:30!!! You will know what hole you will be starting on Friday evening a little past 5:00pm via 3rd Annual Josie’s Journey Open | Professional Disc Golf Association.
We will be utilizing PDGA Live scoring for this event. To access that visit pdga.com/score. The access code is ‘JJO2020’. Paper scorecards will be provided as a backup.
We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to use DSCP for consecutive years. Let’s not mess a good thing up! Watch your speed, watch for walkers and others utilizing the park, and help keep the course clean! Another BIG THANKS to Rachel at DCSP, Clint Wright for all he does, and everyone else who played a part in making it happen. It was definitely a team effort!
We will have awards, ace-pot throw off if needed, and the raffle drawing immediately after the completion of round 2 @ Scout Park. Let’s try to practice social distancing as much as possible.
Attached is an edited version of the Scout layout I sent out this morning. There were a few corrections needed so I apologize! I will have these printed and available to you at check-in as well.
The weather is looking fantastic for this weekend and we are looking forward to having you! If you have any questions/concerns feel free to email or call/text me at 256-443-0833. Thanks again for all of your support and helping give back through the Josie’s Journey Open!
