I’ve got an approach that allows everyone on the waitlist (and more) to join us for the Fall Classic! The plan will not lengthen time of play which constrains the number of players in the original plan. This is an overview only. I’m looking for feedback from registered players before I finalize it.

Divisions will be split into two pools. Each pool will play a different layout.

Pool A consists of divisions playing both red and blue tees. They play holes 8-12, A, 13-22, B, 23-24 in both rounds.
Blue tees: MPO, MP40, MP50, MA1, MA40
Red tees: FA1, MA2, MA3, MA50

Note: holes A & B are temp holes that are being considered for our expansion.

Pool B divisions play a mix of green and red tees. They play holes 1-7, C, D twice in round 1 from the green tees. They play the same holes from the red tees twice in round 2.
Pool B includes MA4, FA3, FA2, MJ18

CTP and Ace funds will be split per funding so there’s payout for each pool.

I like it Steve. While I'll miss some of the start of the course I know there is room where you have the temp holes to make a few worthwhile holes. This will also help with speed of play on the rounds.

Will we have a choice to play with the people we came with regardless of division?...the people who already have our germs :). If so, this change would move my son onto different holes than I would play. Not a big deal. Just curious. He has asked if he will play with me.

Derek, in most tournaments you do not get an option to play with certain people. Typically, we group people by division in the first round, and then by score within each division for the 2nd round. This is how I will group players for this tournament.

Sounds good. I wasn't sure if COVID-19 had changed any of that to keep people more with their own folks to reduce spread. As far as your proposed changes, we're good with whatever you decide. Letting more people participate is a positive.

It's all good. I want to make sure everyone has a good tournament experience, so I want to think through the changes and make sure it works before pulling the trigger. I've got the layouts figured out and the temp holes laid out. I'll publish all this as soon as I can get it written up, and tested. I expect to be ready to clear the waitlist this weekend.
