Hi AJ - That's a perfectly good question. As we are uncertain about Covid-19 (things could be shut down any time, again), we were hesitant to have an A or B tier. An A tier requires 3 rounds - and that's pushing it. A B tier requires $750 added cash to the pro pools - we anticipate having AT LEAST $750 added cash to the pro pools, but with Covid-19, we decided that we should hedge our bets. Additionally, if we raise money and don't have a tournament, then we have money that we have earmarked for an event and no event. Last, as event planners, we are treating this as an A tier. We plan on giving players an A tier experience, though it's only 2 rounds and not 3. All entry fees in the pro field (minus PDGA fees) will turn around and go to payouts along with added cash.
Rob Martin Aug 18, 2020On bit of correction, the PDGA has lowered B-tier requirements back down to $500 added cash due to C-19 in 2020.
