Good evening everyone,
We are only 10 days away from the 35th Annual Three Rivers Open presented by DreamMakers Automotive! The Fort Disc Golf Club and I are once again thrilled to host you for a weekend of fun, camaraderie, and competition.
Attached to this email is the final caddy guide for the tournament, which contains all information for the tournament. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or the tournament staff via email.
IF you are unable to play for any reason, please let me know ASAP. There are several folks on the waitlist... Refunds can be requested through Disc Golf Scene.
Schedule of Events:
Thursday 8/27/2020 @ 8PM: Virtual Player’s Meeting (likely Zoom)
• Player’s will have the opportunity to ask any questions that may have.
• If you are unable to attend the Virtual Player’s Meeting, you are encouraged to email any questions OR ask for clarification at check-in.
• An email with the link to the Zoom call will be provided on Thursday.
Friday 8/28/2020: Bring Your Own Partner Doubles @ Swinney
• Flex Start from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Last card tees off at 6 PM!
• Players are encouraged to pre-register: https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/TRO35_Flex_Start_Doubles_2020
• Early player check-in is encouraged and player’s packs for the main event can be picked up.
Friday 8/28/2020: Hole Assignments
• Hole assignments for Saturday will be posted on www.PDGA.com by 8:00 PM on Friday evening. (I will likely shoot a link out on disc golf scene and through email.)
• No - I will not move you to a different card….
Saturday 8/29/2020: Swinney Saturday
• 2 Rounds at Swinney Park (1 Round at West, 1 Round at East)
• 8:30AM - 9:15 PM: Player Check-In at West Swinney
• 9:30 AM: Round 1 Tee Off
• 1-Hour Lunch
• 1:00 PM: Round 2 Tee Off (Approx.)
Sunday 8/30/2020: Tillman Sunday
• 1 Round at Tillman Park
• Tee Times starting at 7:30 AM based on division and score…Tee Times will be posted on www.PDGA.com as soon as possible on Saturday evening.
• Last card tees off at 2:00 PM
General Information
• All players are required to check-in prior to Round 1.
• $2,500 added cash has been added to the pro purse, which includes covering the 2020 Indiana Summer Series Fees as well as the $3 PDGA fee per player.
• Projected payouts will be posted on Friday 8/27/2020.
• Also, all pros will be getting a custom TRO35 pint glass.
• The amateur side of things is trophy only, which means a stellar player’s pack. The player’s pack includes: Discraft ESP Buzzz, Discraft Jawbreaker Roach, Innova Splatter Star Teebird, Dynamic Discs Hybrid Raider, Gateway Wizard, Custom TRO35 Pint Glass, and a Dynamic Discs Tote Bag.
• CTP Prizes on all 36 holes at Swinney!
• Portable restrooms will be available at all 3 courses Friday through Sunday.
• A list of ace pool and 50/50 participants will be posted at tournament central prior to Round 1. It is your responsibility to make sure your name is on that list. Please bring exact change if you plan to buy in.
COVID-19 Guidelines
• PDGA LIVE SCORING will be utilized all weekend. Access codes will be provided Saturday AM at Tournament Central. Paper scorecards will be provided to all players in their player’s pack. I HIGHLY encourage all cards to keep a paper back-up. It is good practice and technology does fail.
• Per the Indiana mask mandate, proper facial coverings are REQUIRED at check-in, awards, and any place where a minimum of 6-feet of social distance is not achievable. (Over nose and mouth!) For the safety of all volunteers, staff, and players please mask up!
• Do not touch other peoples equipment during the round.
• Verbal congratulations are encouraged rather than high fives, fist bumps, or hugs.
• If you feel sick, do not play. If you start to feel sick during the round, please stop playing and remove yourself from the tournament.
• FDGC inventory will be on site…. facial coverings and a limited # of people will be allowed to look at the discs at one time.
