We couldn't have asked for better conditions for Week 6! 36 people came to play, and the scores were HOT!
This weeks course featured normal OBs (including the island on Hole 9), as well as an alternate placement on Hole 2 - about 40' right of the normal basket.
The tight OBs didn't slow down local pro Luis Nava, who came out of the woodwork to pair up with Dominick Marshall. They shot a PERFECT -18 and take first place and $58. Great shooting!
Closely behind was the team of Sam Gibson and Jacob Rogers. Sam's ACE on Hole 9 propelled them up to second place at -17. Great ace, Sam! The team certainly won the night as they walked away with $30 for placement, and an additional $103 for the season's largest ace-pot to date! $$$
Scores really tightened up as we had two teams at -16, four teams at -15, and three teams at -14! Leading the -16 was the team of Mitch Crain and Chris Kuhlman, who won $20 with their win in the throw-off. Also at -16 was Mike Purdy and Ty Edington, who took home $14.
Winning the highly competitive throw-off at -15 was the team of Logan Robinson and Hunter Gates ($12). Claiming last cash was Matt Schroeder and Keenen Deuel, who barely edged out Zach Todd/ Albert Ricker and Micah Ledoux/ Jason Powell for the last $10.
Amazing shooting by everyone this week! If memory serves me right, this might be the first time in YEARS that a -15 score missed cash. WOW!
As always, we had a couple prizes up for grabs. Hole 2 was Closest to Pin for a Westside Anvil, which Mike Purdy proudly won on his second toss of the night. Hole 5 was the Longest Putt competition, which Dominic Lombardo cashed to win a Prodigy Model D. Nice shots!
