2020 Deer Lakes PDGA League   July 23, 2020 at 3:43pm

Reminder

Since we have a lot of new players to the league this year, I just wanted to drop a reminder that this is a PDGA sanctioned league and therefore PDGA rules do apply and are required to be followed. If you are unfamiliar with the rules, I suggest that you take some time to at least quickly scan them over. https://www.pdga.com/book/export/html/236656

A couple of highlights:
- There are no gimmies. You must hole out each whole. Even if you are 2' from the basket, you are not allowed to just slap the chains. You must drop the disc into the basket.
- A mini is required to mark your lie if you are using the same disc or marking a disc from out of bounds. You are not allowed to just flip your disc.
- The course must be played in order without skipping around. In addition to being against the rules, this also slows down other cards as you jump around. The holes must be played in order.

In addition to the PDGA rules, please be aware of the out of bounds rules of the course. They are shown in this picture section on DGScene as well as being spelled out on the PDGA scoring app for each hole. Most of them are self explanatory except for hole 15. If your 1st throw goes out of bounds on hole 15 whether it cross in or not, you must throw your next shot from the red tees with a 1 stroke penalty. Afterwards, any throw that goes OB is played with normal OB rules.

Thanks!
