Dear BHMO Competitors,
This is an note we were hoping we did not have to write, but unfortunately we have decided the Flyers will not be able to move forward with the 2020 Brent Hambrick Memorial this year. This will impact both the pro and amateur events that are scheduled for August 1st and 2nd. We have still not been granted the special event permit we need and we are not sure if/when that will happen. The Hambrick course is still not in the ground, we have held off on ordering discs, trophies and many other things that are needed for the event. At this point, we are just out of time and rather than run a mediocre tournament, we are going to hold off until 2021.
Please note that you will be given a full refund shortly and we are extremely sad it has come to this. If you wish to donate any portion of your entry to the Leukemia Society, please reply to this email with the amount. We still plan to make a donation to the charity in Brent’s name even though the event will not be taking place. We have to thank all of the sponsors that were still willing to contribute during this tough year. Special thanks to Discraft, Dairy Queen, and Prodigy for their generous sponsorship offers this year.
