Hello everyone,
It is with great sadness that Tom Hamilton and myself have to deliver this message but here it is, the 2020 High Plains Challenge has been cancelled. Tom and I were hoping that 2020 would be our big kick off year taking over the Colorado A-Tier and helping to continue the growth that John Bird started 17 years ago.
Staying true to the plan we posted before registration opened, we did not order a single item for the event and therefore all players will receive a full refund less the Paypal and DiscGolfScene fees. Refunds will be processed Sunday the 14th, if you would like your registration to go toward next year please let us know before Sunday and we will put those funds to good use for our next one!.
We have spent hours over the last few weeks developing a plan, submitting the plan, revising the plan, and ultimately we were unable to get the sign off for us to host the event in Ft. Morgan at this time.
We are going to be putting all our resources together to build up the funds and experience for 2021 as we look to make our triumphant return to the Disc Golf Stage. Keep your eyes peeled later this summer as we intend on releasing a Fundraiser Disc of what was supposed to be this year's stamp...I assure you it is awesome!
For those interested I have attached the plan we laid out for the health department and county. We will continue to work with the municipalities we run events in and try to find some way to get Tournaments back on the Eastern side of the mountains asap.
Thank you all for your continued support.
