Wednesday Night Doubles   June 10, 2020 at 3:49pm

Wednesday League resumes

League will resume today and carry on every Wednesday night until likely October. Here are rules/guidelines for how it will work.

Check in by 5:45 PM. The random draw will be done soon after that so that we can begin at 6:00 PM (these times will change as we lose daylight by the end of the summer)

$5 entry fee ($4 to payout, $1 to Medina Club) + $1 optional Ace Pot.

Electronic payment can be made to [email redacted] via PayPal. Select send to friend and family and include your name & pool (A or B) in the note.

Alternatively, cash can be brought to the doubles event and given upon arrival, although exact change requested in an envelope.

In the event that it is necessary to move players between A & B pools to even numbers, specific players will be consulted, but ultimate discretion given to league manager.

Random draw will be conducted by the league manager by a random team generator or other random draw method. Pairings will then be announced.

Layout will be posted to Medina Disc Golf Facebook Page the day of the event by League Manager.

UDisc app will be used for scoring. At least one player on the card should have it. Under Roscoe Ewing course there will be a listing for that day's layout (e.g. 20 hole Wednesday Scramble). Send results to the league manager by a screenshot of the scorecard after you complete the round.

Observe all PDGA social distancing guidelines including but not limited to handling other players' discs as well as no high fives, handshakes or sharing of water/food.

Ties will be resolved by CTP throw off.

Payouts will be made with envelopes of cash. If you prefer electronic payment by PayPal, please let the League Manager know.

Finally, I know that these past few months people have done a really good job of maintaining the social distancing guidelines. This has helped keep the baskets in place at Roscoe at times where other locations have had them removed or the courses closed. Please continue to abide by the guidelines, especially before and after the round. This means avoiding large congregations and spreading out during warm ups. We want to avoid situations that might cause somebody to call something in because they see a large gathering. Some tournaments, like Ride the Dragon, are still in limbo because they need local approval to operate. Running events like this within the guidelines would go a long way to helping show that we would be able to host tournaments as well.

Nicholas Schultz will be the League Manager for the summer.
