On Monday, March 23rd, at 7:30pm at the Calvary Church, there will be a public meeting to discuss the ongoing redesign and improvements that need to be made at the Harvest Fields Disc Golf Course, as well as other club matters.
All disc golf players in the area are welcome and encouraged to join us!
We have a little flexibility on the start time for the meeting, so if someone could use a small adjustment to the time, please speak up soon. We want as many people to join us as possible. We are not sure yet which room the Church is graciously allowing us to use, so we'll keep you posted.
The construction of tee pads and remaining new fairways at Harvest will need to take place this spring and early summer, concurrent with the the mountain biking trail construction (which breaks ground in April). There's a lot to get done! At the meeting, we will (1) detail the plan for the construction process, (2) discuss what needs we have in terms of labor, tools, fundraising, etc., and (3) solicit ideas, critical feedback, and questions from all who attend. Since this course is for the growing disc golf community in our area, we consider this a community project and hope everyone will embrace all the labor and love the course will need to become a gem of central PA.
Meanwhile, as the weather warms up, please keep an eye out for postings for work days at the course. Your time and effort will be greatly appreciated (and often rewarded with pizza). Thanks everyone!
