Shenango Valley Disc Golf Open powered by Prodigy Disc has now EXPANDED to 152 Player Field!
After long consideration and collecting data from the "Feeler Poll" posted, we have decided to EXPAND THE FIELD!
We have a few reasons this will not only help Grow Disc Golf in the area as well as allow for more players to join in on the fun. Another great addition to the expansion will allow more room on the courses and allow fewer "back ups"
Here is how we found to Split the Field. We noticed a trend where MA3, FA3, and other Numbers are lower in Registration. We feel this is part in due to the Change in the courses that participants will play. We think by changing the layout that it might encourage newer players or lower arm speed players a more enjoyable time during the SVDGOpen.
The current Field will be split into 2 Pools:
A-Pool and B-Pool
A-Pool will consist of Divisions:
MPO, MP40+, MA1, MA40+, FPO, FA2, and MA2
B-Pool will consist of Divisions:
MA50+, MA60+, FA50+, FA60+, MA3, FA3, MA4, FA4, and All Junior Divisions
A-Pool will play:
Saturday - Buhl Park DGC > The Pines DGC
Sunday - The Pines DGC > Final 9 at Buhl Park
B-Pool will play:
Saturday - The Pines DGC > Buhl Park DGC
Sunday - Buhl Park DGC - Awards (No Final 9)
We do know this may change how you signed up for what layout you may want to play. We also know this might change your outlook on the event and you may like a refund. We are offering B-Pool players a chance to Move Up to the A-Pool Free of any added Fee or We will gladly refund you 100% of your Registration due to the Change. For those wanting to move Down a division, We will be able to refund you the day of the event.
This will not change Lunch and or the Players Party nor will it change the AM Player Packs and Prizes.
