Hello Friends! Thank you to the 28 players who came out for the Mid-Season Championship of the 2019 Old Farm Summer League. The weather was excellent and course seems to be returning to "normal". It was a great start to Anniversary Week!
With cash on the line, everybody looked to bring their A+ game. Lightning John and Lee Crandall went toe to toe on the same card and seemed to nearly go shot for shot. In the end, Lightning John prevailed for his second win of the season, shooting a 41 (45 aggregate) and winning the $50 first place prize. Lee Crandall and Larry Byrd both shot excellent as well but came up one stroke short with 42 (44 and 47 aggregates) to tie for second place and split $25. With his win, Lightning John inches closer to Lee in the year long points battle, with only 20 points separating both players with six rounds left.
Thank you to Tyler Moore who donated two hole prizes this week. As well, thank you to Jeff Turner who arranged for pizza to be delivered to the players last week (my bad Jeff, sorry!). Great Lakes Disc provided 14 in-store credits as hole prizes this week, so thank you to Shea and his staff. Please remember to stop in and thank those who support the Old Farm Summer League
