With the soothing hum of the 2019 cicada brood in the background, a league record 42 players came out to battle the blue tees for league this week. Shooting hot scores in the open field were Cody Winget and Chris Lachendro with 61s. Mike Vasey eked out the win in advanced with a 68 and Tim Sladisky snagged his first win of the year in intermediate shooting a 73. Adam Couture came away as the big winner on the day getting the cash CTP on hole 5.
Big thanks to other CTP prizes donated by Cody Winget, Pat Graziani, and Tom Sears. Also thing to BJ Reiher for being the grill master during the cookout following the round and Joe Kolenda for assisting me in counting up scores and divvying out tags.
After the cookout, 20 people stuck around for some Red, White, and Blue doubles. Myself and Zach Guiciardi took home $40 for the win with a 51. BJ Reiher and Cameron Weber grabbed 2nd for $30 with a 54, and the teams of Jeff McCullough and Matt Plunkett, Shawn Cochran and Mackey D, and Aaron and Tom Sears each walked away with $10 for the tie of last cash with 55s.
