Hello Friends! A big thank you to the 29 players who showed up to the fifth round of the Old Farm Summer League today. Despite the forecast, it was a beautiful day for disc golf.
Due to construction, a few alterations were made to the course for the foreseeable future. Hole 17's fairway is now mostly Out of Bounds (Hole 16's fairway is available for the safe play) and the tee pad for Hole 18 has been moved to the pathway just in front of the construction zone. We will continue to monitor the progress of construction and make alterations to the course and the rules as the summer progresses. These rule changes saw some interesting tactics to say the least.
Jason Gervais took down the win this afternoon with a clean round and nice handicap boost to card a 38 (45 aggregate). Dan Smith finished second with a very nice 40 (46 aggregate). There was a four way tie at 42 for the final podium spot with Chad Hutchison, Chris Melinn (46), Lightning John (47) and Nathan Harrison (49). Chris Melinn also won the 50/50 CTP on Hole 8. For the first time all season, no aces were recorded today so the Ace Pool now grows to $59.

The Old Farm Summer League will be off next week as Grand Rapids Disc Golfers United proudly hosts the 4th Annual Johnson Park Championship Presented by RHD Tire and Discraft. We will resume play on June 1st. We hope to see you there!
