Well, I finally connected with the Parks Manager and it's a go. This Friday, May 17th, the city is going to drop off 2 piles of wood chips - one by the porta-john in the front parking lot, a second by the old bathroom building in the back. We have a few commitments, but the more help we have, obviously the better. Tom said it shouldn't be a problem if I bring an ATV with a trailer to help move them. As far as the gravel/slag sand, he said he's going to try to have his people lay this down. He wanted to know specifically which tee pads were problems, and I forwarded Jay's post from the Brys main page. He said if they can't get to them, they will try to leave the gravel for us, as well. Again, all help is extremely appreciated! It sounds like they are shooting for earlier in the day to do the drop. Shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows needed!
Holes 1,2,10,15,17, 22, around the tee pads for sure. I wouldn't put any of the wood chips around the baskets of 1 and 11/23 and tee pads 2/14, and 24 with out putting the gravel down first though otherwise they will just wash away
Bird just messaged me that the wood chips have already been dropped off. With that being said, I agree Brad that it would just be a temporary fix filling those holes you mentioned with just wood chips. I conveyed this to the Parks Manager and he said they would try to get us some gravel. He's been kinda funny responding - sometimes quickly, other times nothing. Either way, I'm going to head up there after work and try to get a head start on areas that don't need gravel/sand. Just hope they come through on that material. As stated, he said he would try to get his guys to help on that. We shall see.
Was just informed the city workers are patching the holes around the tee pads with slag sand. Would love to say, Booyah!, but will wait til I see the job they did. I'll be up there in a little while. FYI!
Well, how was it?
Well, they did lay down slag on several holes. Kinda weird on 17's tee. It was like a wet cement that didn't cure. With the chips on top, it's still pretty mushy. Certainly can't complain, tho. I literally busted my ass off last night hauling probably 8 or 9 trailer loads. Tried ... more

I literally busted my ass off last night hauling probably 8 or 9 trailer loads. Tried to focus on the farther away holes since I had a machine. Moyer is out there right now and is looking for some help. I won't be able to get out there til about 5. The piles of wood chips don't look that big, but once you start getting after it, they are hard to make disappear, lol. If anyone can get out there to help Jay, he's could use it - and he currently only has one wheelbarrow. Tanx!!
