January Poker Side Game Winner

Congrats to our bartender, Jan, for winning the January Poker Side Game and $100!!! Her winning hand was 3 of a Kind, with 3 5's!!! She was the only player to draw a Joker, doing so on the final draw, and then hit the trips with the 5 drawn as the Community Card. We also raised $34 for the Prize Fund, and that will help get a few extra prizes to give away at the league party!!!

The format will slightly change for the February, with a Texas Hold Em format. Weekly draws will be as follows:

Week 1 and 2 -- 1 card drawn each week
Week 3 -- Community "Flop" drawn and 1 card drawn
Week 4 -- 1 card drawn

This will give 7 total cards available, and like Texas Hold Em, the best 5 card hand will win. Hands can include any of the 7 total cards, including cards drawn each week by entries and the Flop. The 3 cards from Flop does not need to be used for your hand. You can use any combination of the drawn cards and the Flop to make the best 5 card poker hand available. Each weekly entry will remain at $2, with 75% to payout and 25% to the prize fund.

We will continue with the same draw format:
Week 1 -- highest weekly league scores first
Week 2 -- non-league entrants followed by lowest scores first
Week 3 -- highest weekly league scores first
Week 2 -- non-league entrants followed by lowest scores first

I will also continue with the same rules where you do not need to be present to get your card. You can pay for all the weeks at any time, but you will not be able to see your hand until you are current with your entries. If you miss any week after the first week and you are not present, I will draw a card for you at the end of all other draws of those who are present. Once you pay and are current, you will be able to see your hand. That way, if you cannot back out after seeing a card you may not like. Feel free to bring $8 the first week and cover your entries for the whole month if you think you may miss a week.

I will also post all hands from January some time this weekend so that all know what was drawn.

Good luck with the next game!!! Let's keep this around $100 for the winner. There will be one final game in March, and I'm up for format ideas if anybody has any.
