Someone correct me if I’m wrong but the more money raised and having it be trophy only means we can donate that much more money to the fire victims who have lost so much!! I mean this in a polite way but this isn’t a charity to help our own pockets but to help these families that were affected by this horrific fire!!

I'm not saying that's not a good thing Mike, I lost my home and everything I own last year in the fires. I was curious as to why the other charity events are still having small payouts and are still able to donate and the tournaments cost less. I'm all for giving to a good cause but the point is they need to try and keep it somewhat reasonable if you want people to attend all of the events and if some are offering payouts why do some choose to not and why would it cost as much as b tier? No need to yell it at me either no body know about fire victims needing things like I do!

I extremely sorry for your losses! And that was my quiet voice!! Like I said the more that goes into it the more that can be donated.. 50 dollars is a very reasonable price to pay for a tournament that is donating to a great cause and I’m sure many people will still sign up to help support them like in years past.. also I’m not the tournament director..I’m just quietly voicing my opinion!

Like I said I'm all charity as someone who would like to participate in as many of the series events as possible it's a lot of money in a short period of time to put out and I have no problem with the money going to charity and having only trophies, I was only wondering why this one is more than some of the others that did include a payout. That was the only question. We raised over 1000 dollars and 100 toys for tots at the kickoff on Saturday and that was only a 30 dollar buy in and they had payouts although small it was something.

I cannot answer for the other TD's as to why they run their event the way they do. I charge $50 because last year even with the fees we have to pay, the shirts provided, the insurance, we raised over $4k which went directly to the fire victims. All of us know someone or have ourselves lost something in these fires and I think $50 is a small amount to have a day of fun, gain your points for the series and donate to such a great cause.

I know someone because I was one of them, like I said I want to attend as many as I can but if they were all to be $50 that would be a lot of money for some of us that don't really have that much especially since I lost everything I own last year in the fires and I haven't seen a cent from any of the entities that said that they were helping fire victims!
