We added a junior division for the Oregon Park Ace Race! I had some folks ask about a junior division/layout for this year’s Ace Race at Oregon Park. Even though our modified layout for the Ace Race is short, it still may be a little too overwhelming or unreachable for some of our younger arms out there who want to play.This really is for younger folks 12 and under with not a lot of experience. So we will go ahead and set up some even shorter pads for this division (probably not to exceed 80’ but will seek guidance from some of the parents of participants). Note this Junior division WILL NOT be eligible for the standard grand prize package but between the Cobb Disc Golf Club and Discraft, we will have a junior appropriate prize pack of lighter weight discs for the winner. However, they will be eligible for the free raffle for the Discraft portable basket. I am going to request lighter weight discs for junior players that sign up for the tourney although I cannot guarantee what they will send. The good news is that this year’s Ace Race disc is an understable fairway driver and should be manageable for the juniors. Let me know if you have any questions.
