the ymca folks have started course improvements ( we are working hard on steering them in the right direction), unfortunately the tee boxes have been abandoned for now, with hope they'll be completed by end of august. the new lay out is complete and hopefully the tee boxes will be in good shape by early august. thanks for bearing with us. and yes as of now those teeboxes are pits of sand. i accidentally deleted a post about this ( sorry jeff), but it is true the tees are a struggle right now. there was a rumor about that the ymca was putting in concrete tees-sorry, no dice. hopefully turf or rubber eventually. don't count on this by tourney time, however.
