Sure it's a competitive event but it's still a fun weekend away for most people. Take it from Ludington and you lose a big part of states. I take the competition very serious but it's still a cool weekend you might not experience the sqme way if it were somewhere else. And of course Ludington isn't the only vacation spot(it's not even my favorite spot) but it is the best vacation town that can support a disc golf event of this magnitude I would think.
