To play in AM Masters as a pro you need to have a rating lower than 935. Also, you would play for player's pack and trophy only. You wouldn't be able to get "funny money".
Looking at your Ratings history, you were never higher than a 934 so not sure why you classified yourself as a Pro to begin with. LOL Look forward to playing against ya though, shoudl be fun.
From the "About" tab for this event: " This will be 3 days of disc golf on 2 courses in Manchester, NH: The Hollows North and The Hollows South. Players will play 1 round per day and will be assigned tee times for each day of play. Baskets will be in short tee to long pin placements."
In regard to the original post, rule 203 B says "An Amateur player is automatically reclassified as Professional when the player has accepted cash while competing in a Professional division. " So no matter what your rating, as soon as you accept cash in a PDGA sanctioned event, you're a "pro" from then on (unless you file a petition with the PDGA for reclassification.)
Didn't realize this. Thanks for the info. However, think about it. Do you think you should classify yourself as a Pro is you're only a 842-rated guy or something ? That rule needs to be changed.
No, it doesn't make a great deal of sense. If I play MP50 in a local tournament because no amateurs over 50 show up, and I win 20 bucks, the PDGA now considers me a pro -- if I accept the cash. (If I decline the prize money, I can still be an amateur.) It's odd, but it's the rule.
So, I go back to my original comment on why he classifes himself as a Pro with a rating that doesn't warrant one. He had to have signed up in a Pro division at some point. If no one else was competing in an Amateur division he was looking to register under, why register in a Pro division ? W ...

If no one else was competing in an Amateur division he was looking to register under, why register in a Pro division ? Why not just go into an AM1 (Advanced) or AM2 (Intermediate) division ? Very silly to be considered a "Pro" when you're not. Just my $0.02.

Just renewed and rating is 891. Looking forward to this tournament

Another question,
How is the tournament going to run with all the people? I see there are 2 courses, will it be separate start times?

What is the difference between Hollows North and Hollows South. Where are there maps for each?
Hollows south is still under construction. It will be ready some time in the end of march beginning of April.
