Hi Brian, VORP stands for Victim Offender Reconciliation Program. They find low risk, non-violent and often first time offenders in the court system that may be facing jail time, usally small theft, vandalism, etc. They step in an offer an option to have the offender and victim of the crime meet Face to Face with a medeator (with VORP) to discuss their crimes and offer options to correct their wrongs and learn from their mistakes. It has a very good success rate of non-repeat offenders and gives kids a second chance.
