I want to personally thank the volunteers that came out to help with the course improvements today! In just under a few hours we installed and painted 9 Tee Signs, Mulched 9 Basket areas, pruned 9 fairways, picked up trash, fixed a basket, and even removed a very large stump which was just amazing to watch.
All in all this is the beginning of great things for Wick Park DGC. You all coming together whether you have played the game or just interested in making the park a better place.. it was truly inspiring to see.
A round of applause should go to Phil Kidd and his undying dedication to Wick Park and the community of Youngstown. Another round should go to Youngstown CityScape for taking on the project and finding sponsorship for the course! Last but not least all of the sponsors that donated the funds to make this course happen!
Today was an amazing day for Disc Golf, the Community, and Wick Park. The course is in astounding shape and the local players have really taken on a pride and ownership of the course. This is key to any great course! You guys and gals have something special at Wick Park. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share that with you.
