MJ1 will have a first place trophy and the winner will win prizes even with just two players. Obviously it will not be as much as the larger divisions, but hopefully we will have a couple more sign up before next weekend. Your next option would be to play MA4 or the Novice division. The top three win trophies and the top 45% win prizes, but you will have to pay the PDGA $10 fee if you are not a PDGA member. This fee is waived for all the Junior divisions. If you're new to tournaments MJ1 might be your best option. Plus next year you will not have this option, so taking advantage of MJ1 might not be a bad thing. You'll get a understanding of tournament play and you'll be able to get a gauge on where you might place in the other divisions for the future. This is all assuming you are new to tournaments.
