Hi Ace Racers,
I am excited to announce that we have 42 people registered for our Waxhaw Ace Race. That is a dozen more than last year, woohoo! I have a lot of fun stuff planned for the event and lots of opportunities to come away with some prizes. Our course is currently in a revamp to transition from a 12 hole to an 18 hole layout. I am lucky to have a boy scout who will be working on it this Fall for his eagle project. Because of the revamp, I am going to set up a special 12 hole layout this year for the Ace Race (different from last year). We will do 3 rounds on the 12 hole layout. For the 2nd round everyone will play from youth tees which will be 50 feet or less.
Mulligans will be for sale. They will be $3 for 1 or 2 for $5. The most you could use/buy is 1 per hole, so 36 is the max. We will also be doing a CTP, Longest Drive and Ring of Fire for prizes at lunch time. $3 to enter all three of those. I will also have some discs for sale too($7-12each). All the proceeds from these will go towards completing our course. Our PTO will be offering hotdog lunches for sale at lunch time (Chips, Soda and a Dog). Bring your cash and support our PTO!
Here is a rundown of what’s going to be happening next Saturday September 9th.
8:45-9:45 – check-in, get your discs and go practice with them before the event.
9:50- Players Meeting
10- Play 12 hole special layout
10:45 – Play 12 hole shorter layout
11:30-12 – hot dog lunches sold by the Waxhaw PTO- bring some cash to support the PTO
12-12:30 – Longest Throw, CTP and Ring Of Fire Contest ($3 to enter all 3 contests for some plastic)
12:45 – Final 12 hole special layout
1:30 Awards and Prizes
