Yes, only the discs in the player packs are allowed to be used for the event. Even if you have already played in a previous Ace Race, you have to use the discs provided in the pack. Per the TD FAQs regarding rules, "In an effort to keep the event as fair as possible for all participants, no "seasoned" discs are allowed".
