Since this isn't PDGA sanctioned, your son could join either of the Junior Boys divisions (probably go with II). For yourself - it really depends on how well you throw. If you consistently throw right around par, play as Rec. If you throw over par, go with Novice and if you throw below par go with Intermediate.
