Ok thanks for the info. Let me rephrase my original question (because I don't see it on the NG site): let's say 40 players register, and the tourney is a go, how many qualifying spots will there be? 12? Or is it proportional to the # of players.

from what I could find out there is a possibility of this being a half capped event. So instead of the field being 54 it'll only be 27 with six invites. It won't be announced until closer to the date of the tournament but at the current moment that's probably what it will be unless we get a substantial amount of players to sign up so if you know if anyone on the fence of signing up I would tell them to sign up sooner than later
