This Saturday is the last day of the MiCPS - Winter 2016/17 season.
Congrats you survived another Michigan Disc Golf Winter season....
Ok Saturday is the last day to play league rounds and get points in the MiCPS. League admin have one additional week to submit previous scores, make any corrections etc. On March 4th the MiCPS leaderboards lock, No new scores and no updates after that point as we will have identified out Michigan Disc Golf League Winter 2016/17 Champion at that point.

So this year we had only half as many leagues participating, 14 versus last year we had 26. We had 304 players from the 14 leagues play throughout the winter season versus 583 played from the 26 leagues.
The biggest impact is evident in the leaderboard as last year Fallasburg Winter League 2015 - 2016 had 8 of the top 10 positions. The Fallasburg Winter League 2015 - 2016 singles league had a large number of players each week which is awesome and especially for getting points. So the top players in this large league earned more points. That is how it works.
We would love to have all the leagues from throughout Michigan represented in the statewide point series. Shoot us your comments and suggestions to help us grow and improve.

Phil "Puttimus Prime" Common and Jay B are both back in the top ten this winter as well - Nice season guys.
Looking to be a close one at the top between Scottie Reslock with a massive 26 rounds to his name, 9 of which were in either very cold rounds or snowy rounds or BOTH for some double point rounds. Your a die hard Scottie - must be that Pirate blood ;-)
A doubt there will be any more double point rounds but still anything could happen between now and Saturday.
I'll dig into the details after the leaderboard locks to break down the season for the top ten and announce our Michigan Disc Golf League Winter 2016/17 Champion.

May 21st 2017 Sunday - Deadline for adding new leagues to the Point Series.
May 21st 2017 Sunday - Deadline for League Admin to request Highlighted Leagues of the Week (HLW) on the comments page.

Now if you paid in $30 to be a DGLA Player you got both Winter and Summer for that low price and you got to compete for awards and some Discraft Michigan State Championships berths, which we will announce those awards at the same time - March 4th.
Two berths to be awarded for Winter. Here is the current standing. The analysis is easy as one obvious factor is the number of rounds played had a direct correlation to the number of points accumulated - not always the way it is but more than likely the more you play the better you will play. But I know all this players had a blast no matter how the rounds end up. Thanks Guys!!!!
May 7th is the last day for anyone to pay in to the MiCPS Summer for a chance at the remaining 4 berths and other awards.
