Thank you very much for the feedback, and I apologize for your disappointment. Is there another site you would suggest for promoting the event? I used many local Facebook Community Pages and signs to promote the event, and simply used this site as a place to register with ease. Unfortunately, Wortman Park is only a 12 hole public course. We capped it at 50 participants because that would put 4 participants on every card with only 2 extra spots in case people didn't show up on the day of. In addition, being a public course, we are not legally allowed to close the course down to casual players coming to throw that day. So, with 4 participants on every single card, plus community members playing between our cards, having any more participants would drastically slow down the day and provide a very poor playing experience. I do not take any profit from the event and do not have a disc golf business, so it is very difficult for me to purchase 25 extra packs because I would be out 750 dollars in packs if no one else showed up. That is not a risk I can take out of my own pocket (as much as I love running them for everyone). So, in conclusion, thank you very much for your feedback as I continue to improve how to best operate these events. If you have any ideas for how I can better manage registration and promoting the sport to new players and getting more people entered to play, please let me know.
