Scores are now posted for the Youth /Teen Summer Fling and the Medina DiscTrifecta RMP

Bill Vaughn was right on with his post-tournament dream. A fun group of golfers showed up to the RMP. Friends came to play our courses and support our efforts. Eric Zeng and Chris Hinckley from Columbus showed their pretty faces. J Gary Dropcho came from PA and schooled everyone on how to throw perfect fairway shots (carding -2 for the day!). Medina peeps, Northeast Ohio friends, golfin' buds from all over the map, we can't thank you enough for making the RMP a most excellent FUNdraiser.

Medina Disc Golf shirts from Icandi turned out fantastic and are still available for purchase $15 (sizes limited). At the Youth/Teen Summer Fling on Saturday, we raffled off 2 PDGA memberships and welcomed Allison Sheriff and Nicholaus Engstrom as newest members. Thank you Dan Kilgore and Mark Festi for putting your winnings back into the donation box for Masi's concrete tees. The winning ticket for the Innova Hero Disc Golf bag belonged to the man with oodles of good karma, Dan "hyzer" Kilgore. Dan left the park when the drawing took place, so we'll make sure we get that to him.
There were 3 awesome playoffs this weekend. At the Saturday Youth Tournament, Mike Chriss and Trent Stull had a three round fast putting playoff. On Sunday there were ties in Adv. and Rec divisions. Tyler Schrock. and Trent Stull (again!) had spectacular 6 hole safari playoff around the pavilion of spectators at PoolSide. But the big hit of the weekend was Leroy's pulled pork; hope everyone got some.

Sam Masi DGC is still in it's infancy. It can play pretty tough as some players were saying but, as years go by, trees will mature & other projects will evolve. Medina City Parks has helped tremendously to keep all these parks in great shape. The positive cooperation with the City and Disc Golf is one that other locations can only dream about. We can only imagine the courses getting prettier and prettier. ~ Team Jenkins~
