SpAce Race 2016! Round #6 Results:
In spite of a wet forecast the Disc Golf Gods deemed our event worthy enough to keep dry from start to finish! The scores were equally good, with an average of 10.7 for the Men's Division and 6.6 for the Women's. That was the highest average for the women so far this year, but was only good enough for 2nd for the men, who shot a blistering average of 11.7 in round 4.
For whatever reason (other than being one of the easier holes) the men destroyed hole #15 yesterday, combining for 42 metal points and one ace on the day. Aaron Sturgeon led the way with 8 points on the hole -- that's 4 metal hits on 6 throws! Just a point behind were Neil Snyder with 7 ace-less points on the hole, and Shawn Miller with 7 points, after hitting metal and an ace on back to back shots. Shawn was on my card, along with Jason Powell, who hit metal on back to back shots on #15 as well!
The women's best hole yesterday was #8, where they logged 10 points on 5 metal hits -- the same amount scored on the hole as the men, despite being outnumbered 3-1!
