Why be a member? hmmmm... Because its fun to be in a group of people who share the same interest. Because its fun to be in a year long competion with cash prizes, because its fun to get merch with custom stamps that are unique to us, be ause it helps organize everyone together so we can all play more disc golf. Because its fun to have local tournaments, because its just a bunch of grown ass men throwing frisbees in the woods. Maybe instead of asking "whats in it for me" one should ask "whats in it for all of us"
