There was camping last year, so I would guess there is again this year, and if you look me up at the Alpine lodge, I have a family suite and three other guys staying with, but I am sure we can find you another spot to sleep...

Hey Greg. There are still a few rooms left with Crystal Mountain Hotels. Plenty of camping in the area. The RV camping area is $30 for hookups and (I believe) $10 non hookup/tent fee. There is also a lot of "dispersed" free camping in the area. USFS Silver Springs Campground is 6 miles from the resort and really nice.
