Between the 3 Doubles groups and the single players, we had 29 show up for the AuGres Tee Pad / Berth Tourney fund raiser and even though Ron and I didn't play, I'm counting us in just so we can say we exceeded 30. A super hot and humid day for 27 holes played between 1 and 5pm but we lost no one to heat stroke and it sure seemed that everyone had some fun. There were no recorded aces so I do believe that to be reason enough for another tourney at Old City Airport, Au Gres, Michigan... THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT CAME and PLEASE COME AGAIN WITH FRIENDS... And here's the good news, after all expenses, together we raised just over $500.00 and that isn't counting the cash donations sent directly to the City of AuGres. Thanks to everyone that came, played and helped the day be a success. Without Ron Peludat, there would be no Old City Airport. Ron was given the Lifetime Achievement Flying Disc Peace Prize and all of the local helpers; Kevin, Alex, Dan and Tobin were on hand to continue their support. Special thanks to the cash donors. Insane for the Chains and Bellsmith Graphic Design Studio for the players packs and trophies. Adding prizes for CTP's and long putts were Tom Swarthout, Tony Mapes, Disc-Ciples and Insane For The Chains. Robert Proulx, AuGres City Council member made a donation and pledge to help the project along. A HUGE Thanks to Robert. McCormicks Country General is one of many contributing businesses - Thanks Troy. As more checks arrive, I'll post a thank you to those businesses.
