You are only bagging if you have won an AM3 tournament in my opinion; once you defeat your division you no longer belong in it. People who hang around until their 900+ rating pushes them out of am AM3 is for people who want a victory and prizes, not a challenge or a sense of pride and sportsmanship. I give full respect to those of you who play your skill level and not your rating, it is good for the sport and lets true AM3s have a shot at a victory. The rating system isnt perfect, and their is no pride in beating people in a division you shouldnt be in.

It was best explained to me like this: you have distance, control and putting. A solid AM3 will typically be consistent in one area, an AM2 will be consistent in at least 2. AM1 and higher display consistency in all 3 areas.

I've won an AM3 tournament, but I normally get crushed in all rec division tourneys I play. Actually... I ALWAYS get crushed in all the rec tourneys I play EXCEPT for that one win I got at a made-up course. lol. So I'll be playing in AM3, though my number qualifies me to play in AM4. lol
