Question - the score card has 9 front and 11 back holes - why not just 10/10?

Because thats how the card was done. It will not affect overall score.

Geographically, it would be proper to make the card 8/12 for the areas S and N of Moccasin Creek Lane. But who ever heard of a front eight?
