So with the last two winter being two of the coldest in Ypsi Dubs Disc Golf Scene records I was wondering the impact that may have on how many crazy disc golfer would make it out of winter hibernation. Seems there may be a weather pattern there or something...
2009/10 94 Players I'd take any of these first four
2010/11 83 Players winter's over the last 2 any year
2011/12 91 Players
2012/13 113 Players One of the warmest,
2013/14 77 Players Coldest
2014/15 79 Players Almost as cold....
Going into the last round of the season the leader board looked like this....
with 79 players Sam Smith had 1st place with a 194 points with Tim Gacioch (Jub Jub) trailing by 16 points and Nate Mullins in 3rd with 140 or 54 out of 1st, or just 38 out of 2nd. Great playing guys.

How about Winter Aces - besides some nice hot cash in your hands can they really make a difference in your overall stranding on the leaderboard - an extra 25points heck yeah. Elijah Wykes proves that. With only two rounds in previously to this week he was at 28th but with add in an Ace on Hole 8 to the cheers by the guys ready to tee on hole 9 - and Elijah Wykes lands the 20th spot with only three rounds - watch this guy... Call me when you know where he's spending that extra $104 of the Ypsi Dubs Ace pool which has been hit for three weeks in a row. Nice Shot!
After the snow stopped falling on the final round of the Winter season and the scores began to clear.
Kyle Decaussin adds 14 points with a 3rd place tie in today's round to sneak passed Nate who could not make the round today, so kyle took advantage of the opportunity and jumped to 3rd overall for the season. Coming off his sprained ankle Mr. Pat Burke jumps 22 points from 6th to join Kyle, tied for 3rd overall for the season with only 8 rounds in for the season. Can one round make a difference? It came down to the last round.
Well that was exciting having a tie for third but what no one is in second?....
Tim Gacioch (Jub Jub) had 178 going into this last round of the Winter Season and was just trailing Sam Smith by 16 points. What trickery is this - Sam Smith only increased his overall total by 2 points - madness I say.... it was Sam's thirteenth round in our best 12 of 13 round season, since we gave up a round to raid 24 Chains and today was not good enough to over come the spread of a previous round and stay out in front and remain the leader - solo Leader that is - as Tim Gacioch (Jub Jub) collected 18 points in his 11 rounds and squeaked into the lead spot to share it with Sam at the closing snow horn - yes yet another tied in our leaderboard at the very top spot, 196 points to co-own that top spot on the final Leaderboard for the season.
You guys are making the plague plate hard to print, it will have to fit 4 Players versus the traditional 3 top players - way to Play guys - great season.
Congratulations to all the Ypsi Dubs Players - Hope you enjoyed the Winter ~={ CHURCH }=~ service. It was another great Winter to remember for awhile - you'll feel your toes again by June ;-)
The final Leaderboard looks like this:

I will chat with all the contenders at the top of the final leaderboard once I'm back from the father land and the DGLA MiCPS berths have been awarded, and I'll post the Ypsi Dubs Berth awards. Tim & Sam both your names will go on the Ypsi Dubs Holy Grail trophy and watch for the plague update in the lodge.
I will post a new league - Spring Warm-up league to go until Mid April to capture rounds and amazing stats for bragging and Disc Golf Scene Bling. The DGLA MiCPS-Summer begins Mid April and we will have our Summer league for 16 weeks participating in the DGLA MiCPS point Series. Four Mi Discraft State Championships berths will be awarded for Summer - one to the Top Ypsi Dubs Women and Three to the top three overall by points, who don't already have a berth.
Enjoy that snow while you can, I'm sure looking forward to feeling the green grass again - Enjoy the Rounds
