So the cash goes to a relative of a board member? And there's no mention of it on the flyer. No hint of impropriety there. Does that member have a name for those that vote and care about such things? None of this is a big issue if it's stated up front on the flyer and such. But when you are asking people for donations it's nice to be upfront about where that donation is going. In this case if I donate discs or product to the raffle, that money is going to a basket fund and not a charity. Ice Bowl / Frosted is nothing but semantics. Frosted Flatrocks was started as a charity fundraiser, based on the Ice Bowl model, where food was donated and money was raised for a charity, and the club got some good press out of it. That goal seems to have changed over time, along with the number of participants. Anyway, thanks for the responses and I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

chuck we will have all info on donations and who they will be going to at the tourney. this is my first time setting up the tourney online so i apologize if i did not add enough specifics for you, ill def work on that for future events so we are completely transparent about where the money is going. Maywood mission will be receiving all canned goods as well as any online donations that i set up on here. ill be out fri to throw with mike, let me know any of your concerns
