Fred brings up an interesting point about travelers for both events this weekend so I will post this on both pages:
Similar to the Metroparks vehicle annual pass, the Oakland County Parks offer their own pass as well. The Metroparks pass does not apply to Oakland County Parks. Those who do not live in the Oakland County, the fees are a little higher. Here is the info from their website on vehicle entry fees:

MOTOR VEHICLE DAY USE FEES

Valid at Addison Oaks, Groveland Oaks, Highland Oaks, Independence Oaks, Lyon Oaks, Orion Oaks, Red Oaks Dog Park and Nature Center and Rose Oaks county parks:
$5 per car per day: Oakland County resident discount rate
$10 per car per day: Regular rate
$4 per car per day: Seniors 62+/Adaptive/Active Military
$10 per vehicle after noon: Special Fireworks Fee

Buses/Vans
$1/person (min. $8) Oakland County resident rate (Oakland County Parks buses are free)
$2/person (min. $10) Regular rate
$12/bus/van/day Seniors 62+/Adaptive/Active Military (12 passenger or larger)

Youth Groups or Walk-ins (Groveland)
$1 per person/per day: Oakland County Resident rate
$2 per person/per day: Regular rate
Walk-ins/Bike-ins: free at Addison Oaks, Independence Oaks and Lyon Oaks only
