Update: The tourney will be moved to Addison Oaks. There is a 10$ charge for entering the park without a pass. Out of town ladies: we can coordinate a meet up spot to car pool to decrease individual cost. Stony Creek would have been 7$, so not too much of a difference. Plus Addison offers camping and MCCG is hosting the GVM tournament the next day also at Addison. We will be playing two rounds of 18 holes. Also we are trying to coordinate a caddy auction with proceeds to benefit Breast Cancer research. Also following the tourney we are coordinating a unsanctioned random draw doubles event.
also a good course. but why the change? i was stoked to play stoney
Well John was hoping to have the additional new 9 holes in by tourney time, but that wont happen. Stony wont close the course for the tourney and if you have played Stony on a Saturday, we have large groups of casuals that could impeed play. We are in discussions with Addison to close the course for ... more

Stony wont close the course for the tourney and if you have played Stony on a Saturday, we have large groups of casuals that could impeed play. We are in discussions with Addison to close the course for both tourneys. If we cant close the course, we at least will not have the casual factor to deal with. thats exactly what i was thinking it was due to. i was hoping stoney would close it . yeah the groups can be like mob golf size
hey I had a couple questions... why only 18? and not the full 24? and are different divisions playing from the short tees? and is it only caddy auction or can we bring a caddy and then donate lol
Yes you can bring a caddy, donations are optional. Addison is a long round, so to keep things moving at a good pace, we decided to only play 18, that way we could be done at a reasonable time.
Oh, I haven't confirmed it with John, but I am assuming we will run this like any other MCCG event: pro's and AM1 longs, AM3/4 shorts, not sure about AM2 yet. Sometimes AM2 does a mixture of long/short. I will talk with John today and solidify the tee pad situations.
I love doubles after a tournament! Great idea.
