June is behind us now, got to make the most of the remaining summer rounds. 18 HLW left in the remaining 4 weeks of the MiCPS-Summer 2014.
I hope you get a chance to maximize the fun in July, HLW are popping up like fireworks this month. Make sure you get some Double Points.
So with June past and the stats stored away in the Disc Golf Scene data vault we can determine the winners of the June Leaderboard Challenge. Thanks to several DGLA Player level members who are philanthropists supporting the DGLA mission and donating their winnings last year back to DGLA we made everyone eligible to win the Leaderboard challenge not just DGLA Player level. But Thanks to the 29 Player level member this year who for $30 got a DGLA MiCPS 2014 Members commemorative disc, DGLA Glow Mini, eligible for some Michigan State Championship berths we received from the MDGO for the fun in Ludington this Sept and all will get some award since we have less than 40 players.
So for each of the three leaderboards, Rounds, Leagues & Wins and the Most HLW in June we will award the winner a chance to plunder the DGLA treasure Chest. Currently I've added some Discs (weights to be added in the description) and I should be throwing in some Hats, Towels, and Shirts along with a few more discs. Now for the winners it's first come first serve (first message in my Inbox on DGS) and then I will remove the item and get you your swag.

Now if there are any ties I will look at the number of HLW played to break the tie. In June no ties - so no digital throw-off required.
Ok for the Most Rounds in June 1-28th - Many packed in the rounds but Taggart Anderson managed to get 12 rounds in only to be out done by three others. Sheldon Bowen and Phil "Puttimus Prime" Common managed to get one more for 13 rounds and crazy man Wade Calvert edged them all out with an amazing 14 rounds in June and the opportunity to plunder the DGLA MiCPS Treasure Chest. Nicely done Wade!
No we are extremely luck that we have so many great leagues in our great state. We hope the HLW add to the motivation to get out and check out different courses and leagues and get some Double Points - BOOM! it's no surprise with 14 rounds that Wade Calvert is at the Top of this leaderboard and of those 14 rounds he played them at 6 different leagues. sheldon bowen may have "only" had 13 rounds but he managed to play them at 6 leagues as well, along with Matthew Rice, Timmy Redman and Jake Pardo, all getting in 6 leagues for June 1st - 28th. But Sam Hardesty edged them out by one:

Now for the MOST HLW in June. First I have to do these stats by hand and I notice many players go by different versions of their names at different league or by nicknames so I try to consolidate these the best I can. Getting to all these courses and seeing how different leagues do things so the good ideas can spread is why we created the Highlighted Leagues of the Week (HLW) and that is reward in itself but we wanted to add a bit more bling to the MiCPS, a little more Swag for your Bag can't hurt. I try to plan each year to get to a few new leagues and I use the HLW dates as my motivation. I had planned on 8 to 9 out of the 22 HLW myself in June but work and family seem to make the challenge that much more challenging. There is always July.... So what are the June HLW stats:
