Wow Max u really have your facts WAY off. I was the president of the NHDGC from 2007 to Oct of 2013. I was the one that approached Brant Calkin and the CDL and offered them to help the NHDGC with Arrowhead. I encourage you to fact check this statement with Brant Calkin of the CDL. he will tell you the exact same thing. Nothing in your time line is correct. I NEVER bailed on the NHDGC as a matter of fact I have only missed 1 meeting in over 5 years. That assertion just goes to show how off base your information is and how much effort you use to try to discredit me. after running the club for 7 years you are correct. I needed a break and to take a reduced roll in the club. But I will ALWAYS be involved in Disc Golf in New Hanover County! You are correct that I did try to work with Wayne to redesign 11 and 12. 12 was an absolute terrible hole and upon speaking with the county on what Wayne had planned and how many trees Wayne wanted cut (do not deny this, all three of us know it is true) the County said there was NO WAY that was going to happen. That is when the county suggested we table the redesign until we could come up with a solid plan. Let me make on thing very clear to you and Wayne. The county has NO intention of cutting down multiple trees to carve fairways out there. That was communicated directly to me from the New Hanover County Parks Department. I can assure anyone reading this I do not lie and I do not bend the truth I state the facts as I see them and am more than willing to discuss anything with anyone at any time and anyone is more than welcome to seek out the people I quote and confirm what I am saying. But the plain and simple truth of the matter is there is NO WAY the county was going approve all of Waynes ideas. As a matter of fact you make mention of the fairway that was cut on what you want to be new hole 11. Matt the parks supervisor cut that for you guys with no permission. When his boss saw what he did with out park approval they were pretty upset. There is a lot of information that is shared with us that may or may not have trickled down to you guys. Lets continue with your misguided opinions you are passing off as fact. You and Wayne are both members of the Arrowhead Subcommittee correct? How many meetings has the Sub Committee had since its inception in Jan.? It is the Subcommittees job to organize OUTSIDE of the monthly meeting develop a plan and then bring a progress report and agenda items to the monthly meeting to move forward. This is a break down and I actually do agree with you there. But it is yours, Waynes, myselfs and everyone one else on the subcommittees fault. I have not heard that the county was denied use of the Schools property so I will have to firm that up. Lastly I will address your assertion of 11 PIDGC members holding NHDGC memberships. That is great and that is exactly what needs to happen. We should all have memberships in both clubs!!! But the plain and simple fact is if you want a say so in what the NHDGC does you have to come to meetings and voice your opinions. I will not sit here and try to say that everything we do is perfect. But what I want the ENTIRE PIDGC membership who reads this to know that we are truly trying our best to do what is right by ALL the people that play New Hanover County courses. Not just what Wayne wants. We have extended an olive branch to Wayne MULTIPLE times and we will continue to do so. ANYONE who wants to help make a difference at Arrowhead is WELCOME. But you have to be able to work in a team environment and you have to be able to compromise. What Max and Wayne fail to see is there are HUNDEREDS of golfers here in this county and many many opinions of what arrowhead should be. Just because Wayne lives closest to arrowhead does not give his opinion of what should happen out there more weight. It is EVERYBODYS course and not EVERYBODY shares Waynes opinion of what should happen out there. What I will leave you with is Arrowhead is a work in progress and it will be a better course very very soon. That I promise.

That's right Dave, it has been right at 6 months since you handed over the presidency and all progress on Arrowhead was ceased and moved to the back burner. I do not know the exact relationship with you and Brant, but I have talked with him about Arrowhead on many occasions. Whatever he thinks of the project currently is up for him to say. But I was there when Brant and Wayne met on the course and quickly talked out the safety and unplayable conditions of the origional 17 and 18. Brent got with Terra over what they discussed and the work was completed, vastly improveing into what is there now, within a week. And as I said, I can not speak for Brant or the CDL but it is my personal belief that you, Dave, are what ran the CDL off from the Arrowhead project. Which is such a shame seeing how those are a great bunch of guys with tons of resources! What you fail to realize, and keep incorrectly stating as fact on a social media site, is; that it is not just Wayne who wants that course layout and design. There are a lot of guys who were involved with Wayne. Guys who knew where Wayne was heading and were giving him feedback along with their own personal ideas. Many many disc golfers and county officials had walked the property with Wayne, and had even viewed and commented on his course layout drawings (which were started before the baskets were even in the ground once everyone saw how F'd up the layout was). As for meetings, I must mention that you too are on the Arrowhead "sub-committee" and did not show at either of the two course walk throughs we had, so I can see this is at the top of your agenda. Dave my personal opinion, is not only should you have stepped down, but should have been asked to vacate the presidency for allowing (and even encouraging) the waste of such an ammount of valuable resources and manpower that can be scarce to come by sometimes in the disc golf community. Dave I even met with you and Wayne once on the course to finalize the revised plans for the county. Wayne had bent over backwards accomidating you to get these plans approved when no one else even wanted to work with you. Wayne took them to the county and a work day was set. County park Superintendent Dan Hoffsher was even going to bring refreshments. Then "you" bailed and the NHDC took over the project, with the first move being to cancel the work day the week of.... Now we have waited 6 months, for a much requested, park boundry survey to tell us those property lines are pretty much right where they are on Waynes plans. Dave, I have lived next door to this park for over 20 years, I am pretty sure I know those woods more than anyone else currently envolved in the local disc golf scene. When they were putting the course in they drove a bobcat down through pine and oak scrub brush habitat and stopped to chainsaw anything that the bobcat couldnt take. How can you say there is NO WAY the county will cut that many trees? How the (expletive) do you think you design and construct a disc golf course? Which YOU KNOW Wayne and our club has done before... And as for trees cut, we plant sapplings in the areas the course doesn't use, such as what is now a joke of a hole 12 fairway.... As for the refusals of school property it was when Wayne and Terra were talking and she had talked with someone and said we couldn't get that property. The other denial I was speaking of was from the walk through with you. You told me that when Russell first designed the course he had asked and was told no. So, yes, I guess you should check into that one...(and I only quoted you on that info because you are who I am talking to) Here is something else you don't get Dave, most everyone in the PIDGC already knows all of this. A lot of them were there all along the way for this side show of yours. Do you think the work was just going to get done itself that workday? As for the PIDGC members who are also NHDC members I stand corrected; the number is actually 12. Myself, Wayne, Physh, Phil T, Hope, David M, Allan P, Jason I, Jeff R, Tiny, John M, and Kyle (BIG shout out and THANKS to all of you guys, if you do read this{DISC GOLF & U GUYS ROC!!!}). So you can end your fact checking mission on that one... And once again, Dave, you are correct; more members being part of both clubs is EXACTALLY what we need. Only thing is Dave, something else you don't get, we don't really want you in our club. We enjoy disc golf and it is our passion and hobby. It is something we do for fun and recreation. We do not want all of the drama and smokescreen BS you seem to bring into every situation you become envolved with... In fact what you have proven by your actions all along is that Wayne can, and has been working with a team all along. A real team who let him evolve into a leadership role and could have by now been enjoying the fruits of the teamwork. A team (several of which joined NHGC to try extending an olive branch to work on this course with YOU), who you have pretty much alianated and discouraged on seeing anything productive done anytime soon, less yet the "very very" soon you promise... Believe me Dave we have talked to many members of all of the clubs, a lot of this is hashed out, and there are a great many people who wish the smoke and mirror show would end so we can finally get down to some work out there. I actually believe that you are the one who is out of the loop my friend on where the majority of the people or on this issue, but once again are you correct; "it really shouldn't be this hard." But you always have to be correct Dave, you always have to be in charge and have the last word. You just don't stop... You will never stop or let anything happen if you are not somehow in control of it, even if it is to the detrement to those affected by it (think of all the busted toes and scraped shins disc golfers, women and children have suffered from the trippers in the fairways because you have Arrowhead on the back burner). What kills me is how if anyone challanges you or says anything YOU disagree with, you go on the attack but accuse them of hostility when they've had enough... Dave, this "internet bull$h!t of which you speak is something you created by jumping into somewhere you were not invited and addressing someone you know you antagonize, stirring up a huge Fn issue that did not exist, and then extend your "olivebranch" of why are you guys so hostile and why can't we all gat along. And I really like how you type, "Max and Wyne" into your self deluded rant. Like your preaching to someone, or trying to scold me, instead of discussing something with me in a chatroom... In the end all of this is just rediculous, but I know you just can't help yourself. All of this is the rediculousness upon which you thrive and need to feel important. I get that, we all have our issues that need working on... I know you can't stop Dave, I know you will have to respond to this, although I do not know why..... I know you can't just quit, maybe be wrong, or even think of appoligizing... We all get that about you Dave, but sometimes we really really really just wish you would GO AWAY!!!! I do stand by everything I say here, but in the end I'm just glad only you and Wayne read "this stuff"....... :-)
