We just went through the same problem for the crosstown classic where there were no tees clean at TWO COURSES! What happened? We got them cleaned and played the courses, shouldnt have such a confusing problem this time....disappointed for sure
doug granby Mar 4, 2014i agree. very bummed its been moved. might not play now either
Michael Lee Cook Mar 4, 2014im not playing! kinda BS it got moved. it should of stayed at stoney!
Nate Buban Mar 4, 2014BS is not the way to put it. Go out there and walk 36 holes and then you will understand the reasoning behind it. If it stayed at Stony it would have been 1 round only.

For anyone who continues to add in their thoughts on keeping the event at Stony: Get up off your chair, drive out there, get out of your car, and walk a few of the holes. 2 rounds of 18 for a large group at this course in these conditions is not something anyone wants to do. Do we want to play the event at Stony, absolutely. However, tee pads and drives are a good portion of low scores and there is only 1 tee pad at Stony at the moment. Digging them out at this point would cause more harm than good. For the amount of work it would take, the view is not worth the climb. Especially considering River Bends is so close and the tee pads are already clear minus a few short tee pads.

I hear you Jay but it is Tuesday, we as tournament directors need to make sure the course is playable and cannot wait until Saturday to make a decision. Dome? Jay, the snow is everywhere, we know it. The pads at Bends are like the pads at Firefighters. People have been tending to them all winter. That is not the case at Stony, go see for yourself.
Josh Cook Mar 4, 2014Gotta do what you gotta do. Bends works fine...let's roll!
steve sevonty Mar 4, 2014i would do anything to play tje superior river bemds over stoney especiallywith no mmosquitos ! ive played stoney abput a million times, river bemds is a new course I've never played singles.at

Michael I don't see you out shoveling...nor the other 10+ people who live within 10 minutes of Stony. the fact os too many people want to bitch about the choices that get made yet don't have the actions to back it up. jay is one of the few who can complain about the course not getting cleared...but we also knew about this for a month. I tried to get some things cleared 3 weeks ago and it just wasn't happening by myself. it took me 10 minutes to walk from hole 2 long to hole 2 short. look you don't wanna play don't play. and if you're not plaing then there is no reason for you to worry about where it is. easy as that.
Douglas "Fresh" Watson Mar 5, 201410 minutes to go from 2 long to 2 short? Really, Redmond? What happened, you went snowblind and got lost in the bushes?
Brandon Redmond Mar 5, 2014it was that deep of snow. we are talking up over my knees. with a bag on that was slow going.
